VERA RANDOLPH Vera Randolph, 96, Uniontown, died Sunday, November 9, at 5:55 am at Medco Center of Morganfield. Mrs. Randolph was a member of the Uniontown Baptist Church and a retired school teacher. She is survived by one nephew, John Harkins of Uniontown. Services were at 10:30 Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Bro. Gary Ashby officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery. (note- the actual obit printed in the newspaper says that she died at Medco Cemetery of Morganfield, which is not the correct name of the rest home) DANIEL E. HOPGOOD Daniel E. Hopgood, 84, Morganfield, died Saturday at 9:20 am at Westpark Rehabilitation Center in Evansville. Mr. Hopgood served in World War II, Korea and the Persian Gulf and retired from the US Army after 20 years of serving in 1958. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mae, in 1983. Survivors include two sisters, Marjorie Myers and Dorothy Stokker, both of Hobe Sound, FL; and one brother, James Hopgood of Morganfield. Graveside services were at 2pm Monday at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield with Rev. Mark Galloway officiating.
