OBIT: Harry Lionel Shreve ~ 1981

H. Lionel Shreve, 82, who resided on his farm on US Hwy 60, just south of Morganfield, died at 2:55pm 
Monday at Union County Hospital where he had been a patient 10 days. He was a semi-retired farmer, who 
devoted much of his time to his hobby- hunting, fishing and other froms of outdoor recreation.Born and 
reared in Union County in the same community in which he resided, he was the son of the late John B. and 
Martha Shreve. He was a member of Morganfield First Baptist Church.Surviving are his wife Pernie; four 
son, William, Bennie, Dickie, and David Shreve, all of Morganfield RFD: four grandchildren, and a sister, 
Mrs. Mattie Lewis of Equality, Il.Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Morganfield First Baptist 
Church, with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will be in Morganfield Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may 
all at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
