Richard remained at home and assisted on the farm until the death of his parents, receiving a very limited education. In July, 1841, his marriage with Hannah May was solemnized, and to their union eight children have been born, of which these seven are now living: Miranda, who is the present wife of James Reynolds; Benjamin, who married Rachel Helton; William B., Richard, Manda, who is the wife of George McClintock; Cynthia, consort of William T. Troutman; Polly, who was united in marriage to James Hughes. Mr. Wheeler is a member of the Christian Church, and in politics he is a Democrat, although he does not take any active part in political affairs. *************************** USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities as long as this message remains on all copied material.
