AMERICAN REVOLUTION: Pensioners in Warren County, Kentucky From: Name Date: Fri, 28 Aug 1998 Archived with permission of Sandi Gorin http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ky/Tips As a new series of information for my readers, and to be interspersed with the other tips, I am going to publish a list of Revolutionary War soldiers that was drawn up by Anderson Chenault Quisenberry, Secretary of War to Congress in 1835 and published later by the Kentucky Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Quisenberry's original works were done in 1895, and at the end of the series I would like to add some of his comments. Additional information will be added from Collins' History. In my e-mails on the tips that I publish, I have been blessed to have many, many compliments that this list is helping. Most of you, like myself are looking for illusive clues that will help us find our families and like me also, many are always scanning lists of names in the hopes of finding our pioneer there. Maybe you'll find that name here ... it's sometimes easier to find information when one lives in Kentucky, and much harder when one is many miles away and working from libraries that often do not have the books one needs.
