"Mrs Lizzie Pedigo Bray, 97, died at a Bowling Green hospital a recent day. She was a native Monroe Countian, daughter of Robert and Matilda Proffitt Pedigo. She is survived by two daughters, Olane Bray Owens, with whom she had lived for sometime, at Franklin, also a daughter, Lura Turner of Quigley, Barren Co., and a sister, Mrs. Vassie Pedigo Scott, Austin. She was the widow of the late Charlie Bray, and they lived until he died in the Akersville community. She was a sister to the late Ivan Pedigo of Fountain Run. Funeral services were held at Akersville Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bray was remembered as a kind, patient, thoughtful person. Following the burial a large number of relatives were guests of Mrs. Mary Cathern Pedigo for dinner. Our sympathy is extended the family." Glasgow (KY) Republican, 15 Apr 1982.
