OBITUARY: RICHARDS, Henry E. - Warren County, Kentucky Date: August 14, 2003 Submitted by Martha Lampkin, Email Registry ID# http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00005.html#0001235 NOTE: This obituary column, cut from newspapers of the time period, was found pasted in an ancient dust-covered book at a yard sale I attended in Louisville KY. I'm posting them verbatim in the hopes they will benefit others. I have no further information and have no connection to any of these names. I have no additional information on dates, or about which newspapers the original columns were in or the year of publication. Henry E. RICHARDS was born Feb. 10, 1871, in Richardsville, Ky. After a sickness of twenty-five days he died Sept. 18, 1902. In the evening at the close of the day, from his cottage home in Gueydan, his soul took its flight home to God. He came to us, in the strength of young Christian manhood, from Richardsville circuit, of the Louisville Conference. Sanctified by our Father, he was in ideal father. He leaves a faithful, Christian wife and a baby girl, together with friends and loved ones to mourn his death. We loved him; those who knew him could not help but feel his loss. His walk among us resulted in a spiritual benediction to our souls. His sickness wasted his body but the approach of death invigorated his soul; and while speaking of his Masters will he died a triumphant death. To you who mourn his loss: He who wept with those that weep will bind your wounded heart. Henceforth, in commending you to God, this shall ever remain my inspiration: to know that he is there. A. A.
