Deed Book E p. 96 This Indenture made this 12 day of October 1815 between VINCENT HODGSKINS and ELIZABETH his wife of Washington County and State of Kentucky of the one part, and ALEXANDER SAGE of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid VINCENT HODGESKINS and ELIZABETH his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the aforementioned ALEXANDER SAGE his heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of Land, lying and being in Washington County and State of Kentucky on the waters of Hardins Creek, included in the Town of Lebanon and bounded as follows (towit) Beginning at a honey Locust in the line between ROBERT BLAIN and WILLIAM PURDY running thence 47 degrees E two Poles four yards and six Inches to RICHARD FORRESTS, Beginning Thence with his line S 55 degrees E 13 1/2 poles to a stake leaving the south ----nney of said FORREST present dwelling house, eight feet to the left hand thence S 47 degrees W two poles four yards & six inches to a stake, thence, with PURDYS line N 55 degrees W 13 1/2 poles to the Beginning To have and to hold, the aforesaid tract of Land with its appurtenances unto the aforesaid ALEXANDER SAGE his heirs or assigns forever containing 37 square poles to their only proper use, and benefit, and, the aforesaid, VINCENT HODESKINS and ELIZABETH his wife, for themselves their heirs etc. the aforesaid Tract of Land, unto the aforesaid ALEXANDER SAGE, his heirs against the claim or claims of them the aforesaid VINCENT HODGESKINS and ELIZABETH his wife and against the claim or clams of any person claiming by through or under them and against the claim of all and every person, what ever shall and well, warrant and forever assign.
