Waller to McCantires This Indenture made this 5th day of October 1795 Between John Waller of Washington County State of Kentucky of the one part & Jane McKentire widow of Thos. McKentire deceased & Anne McKentire Betsey McKentire Thomas McKentire Henry McKentire Josiah McKentire Priscilla McKentire heirs & devises of said Thomas McKentire deceased of the County & state aforesaid of the other part WITNESSETH that the said John Waller for & in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds to him paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge to have been paid by Thomas McKentire in his lifetime & also in confirmity [sic] & in discharge of a bond given by said Waller to said Thomas McKentire in his lifetime have granted Bargained and sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said Jane McKentire widow of Thos. McKentire Anne McKentire Betsey McKentire Thos. McKentire, Henry McKentire Lydia McKentire Joseph McKentire Priscilla McKentire heirs & devises to said Thos. McKentire deceased a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Washington County containing by survey three hundred acres be the same more or less: situate on Cartwrights Creek & Bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a chery tree & sugar tree at the north East corner of a 1000 acre Survey of said Wallers the Original corner (?) a hicory being rolled down corner on John Rays land Running thence south 30 (?) East one hundred & sixty six poles binding on Waltons line to an ash on said line thence south 60 west two hundred & eighty nine poles crossing Cartrights Creek to a corneer on a line of said 1000 acre survey made by M. Walton for Robert Alvey thence with the said line North thirty degrees west 166 poles to a cherry tree & honey locust corner of sd. Original surveyor Robert Caldwell Settlement line thence with the same North 60 degrees East 289 poles to the Beginning To have & to hold sd. land in the following manner to wit one hundred acres as designated by the last will & Testament of Thos. McKentire deceased to Jane McKentire widow of sd. Thos. McKentire during her natural life & no longer the other two hundred acres & the Remainder of Thos. one hundred acres given as above to the widow to Anne McKentire Betsey McKentire Thos. McKentire Henry McKentire Lydia McKentire Josiah McKentire & Priscilla McKentire to them their Heirs & assigns forever to their own proper use & benefit & the said Waller does for himself his Heirs etc. Covenant to warrant & defend sd. land & every parcel thererof from the claim of all and every person whatsoever.
