MILES An agreement entered into and upon ehis 25th day of June in the year of our lord eighteen hundred & three between Eleanor MILES widow of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky of the one part & Edward Francis MILES son of the said Eleanor and of said County of the other part as follows to wit. The said Eleanor for herself & her heirs in consideration of this claim in and unto a mulatto woman named Rachael together with her increase and all profits that could have appertained unto him the said Edward F. E. MILES or his heirs on said Rachael from the time of the purchase of her unto this day delivers unto him said Edward F. E. Miles one negro man named Samiel the husband of said Rachael and the said Mulatto Rachael and four of her children namely John Mary William & Samuel and the increase of said Rachael & mary if any they should have hereafter to belong to him said Edward F. E. MILES and his heirs forever at his own proper disposal and the said Edward F. E. MILES for himself and his heirs Covenant and agree that a Mulatto Girl the oldest child of Rachael Clare by name & her increase if any shall be and remain the property and right of said Eleanor forever to will and or dispose of at her pleasure. The said Edward F. E. MILES for himself and his heirs agrees to have no claim or demand Whatsoever against any part of the Estate of said Eleanor without she may think proper to bequeath him or his heirs anything in her will. The parties to this agreement for themselves & their heirs agree that all open accounts or other accompts whatsoever against each other from the beginning to this day is hereby finally settled Balance and made void they having no claim or demand against one another and for the full compliance of all and every part of this covenant the parties bind themselves & their heirs in the panel sum of five hundred pounds each current money of Kentucky In Testimony whereof we have hereunto Set our hands & affixed our Seals the date above attested November 13th the words other accompts whatsoever and the words and made void interlined before signed.
