Deed Book C p. 230 Know all men by these presents that I EPHRAIM PAYTON of the County of Washington for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by AQUILLA BLANDFORD of the said County have bargained and sold and do sell and delver to the said AQUILLA BLANDFORD a certain negro boy named FRANK as his property, nevertheless it is the intention of the Parties that in case the said PAYTON shall well and truly deliver to the said BLANFORD one negroe girl between the age of six and eight years likely healthy and sound the title of which to be guaranteed than this bill of sale to be void, it is to be further understood by the Parties that in case the said Girl should be under the age of seven years the said PAYTON is to make her equal to that by paying up the difference but in case she is over that age and under eight the said BLANFORD is to make up to PAYTON in like manner of which the said EPHRIAM PAYTON hath the term of eight months to Comply in from this date and not after.
