BASIL SMITH of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky to MATTHEW SMITH of the county 
& state aforesaid... that for and in consideration of the natural parental affection I have 
and bear towards the said MATTHEW and for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings 
to me in hand paid have granted, bargained and sold a Certain Negro boy named MARK the age 
of seven years on 26 March 1810.

me in hand paid have granted, bargained and sold a Certain Negro girl named ANNE about 
eighteen years of age.
