I also remember you as teenagers in Harrodsburg - When we crossed paths a few times on the street and you were always very pleasant and nice to talk to. I went to Court house this afternoon and I think I have found what you are looking for ---- in a "Will" book and I do believe we are from the same family tree on the "Ruby" branch. I do not have any old pictures of Eliza J. Ruby or Coslows or any ancestors. Washington County Court House - Will Book "N" --- P.4 Will of Susan Ruby - Made on March 29, 1866 -- to her 9 heirs: each a distributive share: 1- Eliza (Ruby) and Joel Coslow (husband) 2- John Ruby 3- Elizabeth (Ruby) Basham <-Charles 4. Margaret (Ruby) and Edward Burris (husband) 5. William Ruby > (Note -- I believe this to be my Great grand father -- his name was Bill, but I doubt it -- this one is too young.) 6. George Ruby 7. James Ruby 8. Vardamon Ruby 9. Milly (Ruby) Smithart and John Smithart (husband) Other information: Marriage Marriage Records 1872-1878 Eliza J. Ruby and Joel W. Coslow - Married March 10, 1842; Minister - Richard T. Duncan. 1892 Elizabeth Ruby - I certify that I witness the Matrimony between: Marriage Bk 3 W. Costlow and Eliza Ruby - according to rules of Methodist P.64 Church - march 10, 1892 by Rev. Richard Ingram, Methodist Epec. Church Note -- (I do not think this is your Eliza Ruby) Deaths Susan Ruby, age 67, died Sept 16, 1854, born in North Carolina; Could not read or write; Note - (I find Susan's Husband only one time & as given in death of Milly (Ruby) Smithart - her parents are Charles & Susan Ruby.) Marriage Milley S.W. Ruby and John Smithart Married June 14, 1845 by Rev. 1872-78 David Bruner; (B) Jineson Gibson. Bk. 3-P,93 (John Smithart from Maryland) Bk. 4-P.12 Deaths Milley Ruby Smithart, daughter of Susan Ruby and Charles Ruby died July 1854 of erypolus, age 22, Married, resided & born in Washington County Slaves Susan Ruby Estate - sold two slaves. 1 Negro Man, Silas for $1,000.00 age 31 1 Negro girl age 12 for $700.00 Susan Ruby, died Sept 9, 1854, lived in Washington Co; born in North Carolina; daughter of Phil and Ann Burris Bea, I'm not sure which of the given information applies to your family history. Check the dates and match them with what you already know. It seems that the same Names are in every Ruby Family. Example ---- My grandfather was named John Ruby and my great grandfather was William and ---- I find a John and a William in every generation, therefore I have to search for the one born in certain period.
