18 Dec 1809 Washington Co. Deed Book C p. 440  Recd. of CLEMENT HILL, admr. of the estate 
of THOMAS HAMILTON Dec’d one hundred and twelve pounds two shillings and two pence in 
full for my third of the personal property of said Estate also allowance for accommodating coms. 
supporting enfants and clothing negroes the thirds of the property alone us 89 pounds 7 shillings... 
and we do promise and oblige ourselves our heirs to refund our proportionate part  the 79 - 7 in 
case dormant debts would come against and recover by law of the said estate Witness our hands 
and date above.

same day, immediately following: 

Rec’d of CLEMENT HILL admr. of the estate of THOMAS HAMILTON Dec’d 112 pounds 9 shillings 
and 3 pence it being the proportions of five orphans of THOMAS HAMILTON Dec’d that is of the 
personal estate 7 pounds of 5 shillings 6 pence of which is in cash and the ballance in notes and 
feed bills and I do bind myself and my heirs to refund the proportionate part of any debts laying 
dormant which may come against and recover by law of said estate if it is recorded whilst I have 
said money in my hands witness my hand this 18 Dec 1809.

also the same day it is acknowledged that CHARLES HAMILTON has an equal part in said estate
