State of Kentucky 
Wayne County

Know all men by these presents that I Charles Eads of Wayne County Kentucky 
have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute 
and appoint Joseph Eads of the State of Kentucky my true and lawful attorney in 
fact for me my heirs and full power of deed transfer ___ and confirm unto any 
person the said Joseph may think proper and land or lands that I may hold in 
the State of Virginia in Bedford County but more particularly to a tract of 120 
or 125 acres of land laying in the said Bedford County giving and by these 
presents granting to my said attorney full power to act in every thing touching 
the said land as fully to all intents and purposes as I myself maybe or could 
do.  In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of 
August 1812.

I Micah Taul Clerk of the Court of the County aforesaid being authorized by law 
to receive the acknowledgments of deed Letters of Attorney & do certify that 
the day came Charles Eads personally before me and acknowledged the within 
letter of attorney to be his act & deed whereupon the same is admitted to Record
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my private seal no 
publick seal of office being as yet provided this 5th day of July 1812... M.
