All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Donnie Pickard dmallie@aol.com March 3, 2010, 11:35 am Written: August 21, 1817 Recorded: August 27, 1817 Wayne County, Kentucky Book B-pages 436-437 August 21, 1817 This Indenture made This 21st day of August in the year 1817 between Ann Gibbs of Wayne county and State of Kentucky of the one part and Henry Garner jr. of the said County and State of the other part Witness that she the said Ann Gibbs for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars to her in hand paid by him the said Henry Garner jr. the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by her the said Ann Gibbs She the said Ann hath Granted Bargained and sold and by those presents doth grant Bargain and sell unto him the said Henry Garner one certain tract or parcel of land containing seventy acres be the same more or less lying and being situated in Wayne County on both sides of Beaver Creek and bounded as follows to-wit; Beginning at a hickory and lying on the top of the cliff of Beaver creek running thence S81 W100 poles to two white oaks on William Smiths line N 20 E 68 poles to a large white oak N 84 E 20 poles to a large poplar S 61 E__ poles crossing the creek to a small white walnut S 30 E22 poles to the Beginning with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto appertaining or in anyway belonging to be from her the said Ann Gibbs and her Heirs to the sole use and behoof of him the said Henry Garner jr. and his heirs and she the said Ann Gibbs for herself her heirs Executor etc. doth covenant and give to and agree with the said Henry Garner said tract or parcel of land to forever warrant and defend against the claim or Claims of all persons Either in Lien or Equity to him the said Henry Garner and his heirs forever in Witness whereof the said Ann Gibbs hath hereunto ___ her name and affixed her seal the day and year above written.
