A list of the Sales of the said estate was also returned and Ordered to be recorded A Report of a review on that part of the Road from Monticello to Burkville which leads through the land of James Stone was Returned examined & ordered to be recorded On the motion of James Jones who States that some time Since he entered himself as Security for Wm. Acre & Jacob Hicks Executors of the estate of William Acre deceased & that he conceives himself in danger of Suffering by reason of his begin Security as aforesaid, it is therefore ordered that a Summons issued against the Said Executors returned to the first day of our next March Court to their cause why the Said Jones may not be discharged to give counter security and do whatever our Said Court may in that behalf may direct On the motion of John Smith who State that some time since he entered himself as Security for Wm. Acre one of the Executors of William Acre deceased & that he conceives himself in danger of suffering by reason of his being Security as aforesaid it is therefore ordered that a Summons issued against the said William Acre Executors aforesaid returned to the first day of our next March Court commanding him to appear & then cause why the said Smith may not be discharged from his Security ship to give counter Security & to do what our Said Court may in that part consider. A Report on a Road beginning in the road leading from Monticello to VanWinkle mill on the top of the hill just this side of the house which john Jones lately lived in to Scott & Smith mill & from thence to Intersect the publick Road near John Francis was returned & ordered to be established and it is further ordered that John Francis be appointed overseer of Said Road & all the hands in the following bounds to wit; beginning at Louis Coffeys thence to Joshua Phips thence to Isaac Shepherd Sr. thence to Peter Catron thence to John Mills thence to James Jones thence to Rane McKiney's thence to Caron Washam(?) thence to Henry Garner thence to Thomas Jones thence to John Jones thence to Widow Stinsons thence to Samuel Martin thence to the beginning do attend and assist Said Surveyor when required to.
