Additional Comments: This tiny booklet is too fragile to be handled but copies from its pages have been made by the staff for researchers. Most of it covers years 1763-1816. Source: MSS 10252, Simpson Family Papers 1763- 1830, at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA., 22904-4110. A number of the birth entries have been repeated on successive pages as part of a writing and spelling exercise (?). A typed sheet with this mentions Sarah Sherrill, wife of Reuben Simpson who was a Tory at the time. The little meeting house during the Revolutionary War years was located somewhere in Rowan County, N.C. on the Catawba if I read the writing correctly, and where these births presumably took place.
