Mrs. Duvall, daughter of the late W. E. and Elizabeth Edmonson, was born and reared in Webster county and had spent her entire life in the county. She was known as "Ma" to a wide acquaintance. Mrs. Duvall, a widow for more than fifty years, was married first to Henry Threlkeld and after his death to Charles A. Duvall. Surviving besides Mrs. Harvey are another daughter, Mrs. W. W. Johnson of Clay; three sons, Charles Threlkeld of Wheatcroft, J. H. Threlkeld of Providence, and Walter Threlkeld of the White Oaks section; one brother, J. D. Edmonson of Clay; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Three sons, Dr. W. B. Threlkeld, Edmon Threlkeld, and Dell Duvall proceeded her in death. The body is at Franklin Funeral Home in Clay and will remain there until time for the funeral services which will be at 3 o'clock this afternoon, Thursday, at White Oak church, of which she had long been a member. The Rev. L. O. Nichols of Livermore, pastor of the church, will officiate. Grandsons will be pallbearers and granddaughters will be flower bearers. Burial will be in White Oak cemetery. Sebree Woman Dies Saturday Mrs. Annie Laura Deering, 76, of Sebree, died at 12:05 a. m. Saturday in an Evansville hospital. Survivor's are the husband, J. L. Deering; five sons, William of Mounds, ILL., Leslie, Charles, and Robert of Evansville, and Kenneth, Sebree; four sisters; and two granddaughters Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Monday in Springfield Funeral Home in Sebree, with the Rev. Goebel Phillips of Madisonville and the Rev. Paul Logsdon of Sebree officiating. Burial was in Springdale cemetery, Sebree. Aaron Fike, 80, Dies Wednesday Robert Aaron Fike, 80, died at 1 a. m. Wednesday in his home on Rosemont avenue. He would have been 81 years of age on June 30. Mr. Fike was a member of the Christian church. Survivors are the wife, Annie; four sons, Chester, of Providence, John, of Detroit, Mich., Thomas of Louisville, and James, of Phoenix, Ariz.; six daughters, Mrs. Cecil Cherry, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Willie Moore, of Detroit, Mrs. W. F. Witherspoon, of Evansville, Mrs. Carl Wallace, of Mt. Clemens, Mich., Mrs. Walter Skiba, of Big Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Al Lepo, of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Cowan, Sturgis, and Mrs. Fannie Booth, Providence; seventeen grandchildren; and thirteen great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Christian church at 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. H. H. Self, of Sturgis, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Big Hill cemetery. Loretta Mae Durham Dies in Sacramento Loretta Mae Durham, 3, died Wednesday of last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Durham, in Sacramento follomg an illness of meningitis. Survivors besides the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Durham; two brothers, George William and Richard Wayne; grandfather, Charlie Durham, Sacramento; and grandmother, Mrs. Lee Lynn, Providence. Funeral services were held at 9 a. m. Friday at the home with Rev. Leslie Richard of Sacramento officiating. Burial was in Sigler cemetery near Providence. Former Shady Grove Man Dies in Evansville James Kirby McChesney, 58, former Shady Grove resident, died Thursday in an Evansville hospital. Survivors are the wife, Effie, of Marion; sons Guy of Henderson and Rayburn of Washington, DC; and one grandson. Funeral services were held in the Shady Grove Baptish church with the Rev. J. C. Lilly officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery. Jan Julian Pundt, 4, Dies in Evansville Jan Julian Pundt, 4, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Pundt of Evansville, formerly of Providence, died of pneumonia at 5 p.m. Friday in an Evansville hospital. He had been slightly ill for a few days, but his condition became worse Thursday night and he was admitted to the hospital Friday morning. Survivors besides the parents are two brothers, Peter Van and Frederick Stephen Pundt; grandparents, Mrs. Katharyn Pundt, Evansville, and the Rev. and Mrs. Z. T. Connaway, Henderson; and two aunts, Miss Grady Connaway, Sonnerville, N. J. , and Miss Mary Barrett Connaway, Frankfort. The body was brought to the home of the grandparents here and funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the First Baptist church, with the Rev. C. O. Simpson of Clay officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Travis, Neil Wayne Travis, Billie Higginson, James Doyle Cross, Gene McGregor, and Jerry Wayne Sisk. Burial was in Fairmont cemetery, Henderson. Dies Monday John B. Ford, 85, died at 5 p. m. Monday at his home in Crittenden county, near Providence. Mr. Ford, a retired farmer, was born June 29, 1858, in Crittenden county, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ford. He was married Jan. 25, 1882 at Repton to Miss Susan Johnson, who died on Jan 8 this year. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Effie Lofton, Repton; three sons, Will Ford, Gallatin, Tenn., Press Ford and Frank Ford, Providence; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Towery, and Mrs. Tom Hanor, Providence; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p. m. Wednesday at Melton Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Benjamin Connaway officiating. Burial was in Lakeview cemetery. Mrs. Lillie Crowley Dies at Slaughters Mrs. Lillie Crowley, 39, died last Thursday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walker Turley, in Slaughters. Surviving are the husband, D. K. Crowley; parents; brother, Claude T. Turley, Detroit; and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Phipps, Mrs. Chester Timmons, and Mrs. Huel Hancock, all of Slaughters. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Brick church, near Slaughters, and burial was in Slaughters cemetery. T. J. Montgomery Dies Tuesday Thomas Johnston Montgomery, 70, former Providence police judge, died at 3:15 a. m. Tuesday at his home on west Main where he had been ill since suffering a stroke two weeks ago. He had shown some improvement but his condition grew worse a few days ago. He had been in ill health with a heart ailment for sometime. Mr. Montgomery was born near Providence on May 14, 1876, a son of Thomas Givens and Martha Hunter Montgomery, pioneer residents of this section. He was married in December 1911 in Nashville, Tenn., to Miss Harp Graham, who survives. Other survivors are their daughter, Mrs. James W. Kerr, New York City; son, Forest Edward Montgomery, Providence; and a granddaughter, April Montgomery Kerr. A member of the First Baptist church, Mr. Montgomery had been a coal operator, and for two four-year term ending Jan 1, 1946, he served as police judge. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 4 p. m. Wednesday, with the Rev. C. W. Duffer officiating. Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Hall, near Dixon, was severely cut on the leg by falling glass while at work in Evansville. He is in an Evansville hospital. --- Out of Hospital Byron Fulenwider, who has been a patient in an Evansville hospital, was able to be taken to the home of his aunt, Mrs. Cletis Vanvatter in Evansville. Mr. Fulenwider is the son of Mrs. Huron Wilkerson near Dixon. --- Miss Helen Lisman of Ziegler, Ill., spent the Ester holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Lisman. --- Mrs. Anthlen Brown returned to here home in Evansville after a visit here with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Baker, Mr. Baker and son. --- Sgt. Carroll Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson, near Dixon, is home waiting for his discharge in May. Sgt. Jackson has been in Berlin with the American army of occupation for the past fifteen months. --- Mrs. Emily Owen of Evansville is visiting her brother, Alex Owen and family. --- Mrs. G. A. Carvill spent Monday in Morganfield with Jack Carvill and children of Philadelphia who are visiting with Mrs. Carvill's mother, Mrs. Hedges. --- Mrs. Barney Melton, who is ill at the home of her son, Ray Melton, is improving nicely. --- Dinner Guests Mr. and Mrs. T. Piercey. **Additional Clay News** Undergoes Operation Jimmy Davis of Decatur, Ill., underwent a tonsillectomy at the Henderson hospital early Monday morning. He returned Tuesday to the home of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. M. M. Davis. His wife and son are here with him. --- Miss Helen Fryer of Henderson spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fryer of the country. --- Mr. and Mrs. Pinkney Henry moved Monday from the home on the corner of main and Green streets that they recently sold to C. C. Curry, son of Mrs. Eunice Curry, Providence, has been announced. The ceremony took place in Morganfield on Saturday, March 29. Mr. and Mrs. Curry are making their home in Indianapolis, Ind., where he is employed. Green-Oakley Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Green announce the marriage of their daughter, Maudell, to Alvis Ray Oakley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Oakley. The single ring ceremony was performed at Morganfield on April 5. The bride was dressed in blue with black accessories. Only attendants were Mrs. Green, the bride's mother, and Mrs. Alma Williams. Lee Vone Nelums Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Nelums are parents of a daughter, Lee Vone, born April 3 in Cardwell's Clinic. Weight was ten and three-fourth pounds. --- Miss Katherine Withers has returned to Middlesboro after being here because of the illness of her mother, Mrs. C. E. Withers. --- Mrs. James W. Kerr, of New York, arrived Tuesday afternoon because of the death of her father, T. J. Montgomery. --- Donna Gale Cain A daughter, Donna Gale, was born Sunday, April 6, to Mr. and Mrs. Claud Cain in Cardwell's Clinic. Weight was nine and one fourth pounds. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Riley have returned to their home in Chicago, Ill., after a week's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Simmons. --- Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Blake and daughter, Jane Ann, and Mrs. Leonard Carson, of Cisne, Ill., were guests Tuesday of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B.
