Mitchell (age 26) in Vandersburgh, Webster Co KY from William Pearce (abt same age)in Hurdles Mills, Person Co. NC. The letter is one friend writing another inquiring about the "country" of Kentucky because he is interested in relocating, as well as informing Robert of the social happenings at the old homeplace near Flat River. Robert had moved to KY a few years after the Civil War and remained there the rest of his life. Robert married Unity S. Trice and had 12 children. Additional Comments: References in letter: Robert S.
