Will of Thomas Cobb, Webster County KY, 18 Jul 1905 Webster County Kentucky Will Book II pages 202-203 I, Thomas Cobb, of Webster County Kentucky, being of sound and disposing mind and knowing well the extent of my estate and the extent of the bounties which I bestow and desiring to make a just and impartial disposition of my estate including all the property which I may own at my death so hereby make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament as follows: First, I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executor our of the proceeds of my estate. Second, Having heretofore given to the heirs of my deceased daughter Janie Shelton such portion of my estate as they are entitled to it is my will and desire that they receive nothing further out of my estate. Third, having heretofore given to the heirs of my deceased daughter Lean Oakley such portion of my estate as they are entitled to except seventy two and 62/100 dollars as their interest in the proceeds of notes taken at a Sale of my personal property, it is my will that should said notes not be paid before my death and said heirs receive their said share of $72.62 in said notes when collected by my Executor after my death but that the heirs of said Lean Oakley receive no further share in my estate than the $72.62 mentioned in this Section. Fourth, I hereby will and bequeath to Carrie B. Cobb, wife of William P. Cobb an gray mare about 12 years old and about 16 hands high. Fifth, it is my will and desire that after the foregoing provisions of this my last will are complied with that all the remainder of my estate of whatever kind or nature, that I may own at my death, be equally divided among my six following named children to wit: James H. Cobb, William H. Cobb, John T. Cobb, William P. Cobb, Sidney Fraser and Annie King. Sixth, I hereby constitute and appoint George M. Denton Executor of this my last will and testament and request that the Court in which this will shall be probated to permit him to qualify without bond or surety and it is further my will and desire that no appraisement report or settlement be required or exacted of my said Executor and my said Executor is hereby further authorized and empowered to sell any property that I may own at my death at either public or private sale as he may deem best. Denton and W.A. Williams the two subscribing witnesses thereto who were first duly sworn by the Court to be the last will and testament of said decedent and same is now ordered to record as such whereupon the same together with this certificate hath been duly recorded in my office.
