1883 Webster Co KY will of William S. Morris Webster County Will Book 1, p 461. April 23, 1883 Knowing that I with all men have to die and not knowing when, I hereby certify my last will and testament. I first will my body to the dust from whence it was taken and my spirit to God who gave it. SECONDLY, I will that all my debts shall be paid out of the effects left by me, and my wife Caroline T. Morris I will that she shall have the privilege of selling whatever of my personal property she may deem best for the purpose of so paying my debts (to sell at private sale) she then to have the remainder during her natural life or widowhood. I also will my said wife the farm on which I now live and other lands owned by me at the time of my death to be sold and the proceeds to be controlled by my said wife during her natural life or widowhood, at her death or marriage everything goods and chattels, land and tenaments to be equally divided between my children without distinction. I also desire that my son James M. Morris remain on the farm with his mother and keep the farm in order upon terms that may [sic] agreed upon by them.
