Powell, 89 acres on which we now reside and all household goods; on her death to be equally divided among my heirs. Allen Powell, the son of my wife, 1/5 of my personal property on her death, with the balance to be equally divided among my heirs, excepting the heirs of H.M. Powell, who are to have $5 apiece, as I gave to their father his part of my estate while living. Witnesses: N.M. Ashby; W.H. Griffith; Wm. Garrard. Proved 16 Jan 1893 by oaths of all above witnesses. Webster Will Book II, page 341. Mrs. Elizabeth P. Powell; dated 18 Dec 1913 Husband William Powell to receive my house and lot in Sebree on her death as long as he remains single. (Lot #17 in the Hamilton Addition on Church Street, formerly called Charles Street, 50 feet by 150 feet, being the same lot conveyed to Mrs. Elizabeth P. Powell by C.F. Horner and his wife Mildred Horner dated Feb 15 1909 and recorded in Deed Book No 48 at page 615 in the Webster County Court Clerk's office). In the event my husband should marry after my death the above described property to go to my only son, W.W. Powell. All household goods and cash on hand at her death to go to my husband. Names husband William Powell administrator to serve without bond. Witnesses: Joe D. Morehead; R.K. Royster. Proved 20 Ap 1914 by oaths of both witnesses. Webster Will Book II, page 374. J.A. Powell, Sr., of Sebree; written 20 Jul 1915; signed 3 Aug 1915. First: To niece Mrs. Cora Jewell, wife of B.F. Jewell, to be paid to her children if she is not living at the time of my death, $2,000.00. Second: To son Henry Powell, to equalize him in the distribution of the money I have advanced them, $6375.55. Third: To son Henry Powell the following real estate: 100 acres of land near Onton known as the Henry Cobb farm; 100 acres and 273 acres in Carlisle County Ky known as the Hatfield land and J.E. Nicholson being on it for 23 or 24 years; 150 acres "my home farm and including two acres of my home lot", also my home with 6 or 7 acres with it and household furniture belonging there. Fourth: To son Samuel F. Powell 270 acres of land near Onton known as the Friday and Sadler Farms. Also 132 acres in Carlisle County Ky known as the Corbett and Moore Tracts or farms and 50 acres on the north side of the Hatfield Survey if there should be that much left after taking off Henry's 273 acres first of the Hatfield Survey and if not 50 acres, what ever may be left over. Fifth: And the balance of my estate houses and lots, bank stocks, life insurance and other notes and accounts and personal property that I may own at my death which they are to divide equally between themselves and their heirs. Two sons Samuel F. and Henry Powell to serve as executors. In the event of the death of either or both of them the Ohio Valley Banking and Trust Co of Henderson to act as executors.
