97 year old Anna "Annie" Rose PETREE, daughter of the late Jacob & Mary 
MARLOW ROSE; granddaughter of Eldon & Rachel SILER ROSE; great grand-
daughter of Jackson & Anna CROLEY ROSE; great-great granddaughter of 
William & Elizabeth MERRITT ROSE and Jacob Jr. & Margaret SILER ROSE;
great-great-great granddaughter of William & Amy LANGSTON ROSE and Jacob
& Rachel TEAGUE ROSE, died last night at her home in Jellico.

She was preceded in death by her 98 year old husband, Simon PETREE, who
died in December of 1999, five days short of their 80th wedding
anniversary. They had eleven children-nine are still living.

The viewing will be at the Riverside Church of God in Williamsburg at
4:00 tomorrow-Sunday.

Note: Annie was buried in the Perkins Cemetery in Hoot Owl Hollow,
near Jellico. Her funeral was in Williamsburg, and her ancestors lived
between Jellico & Williamsburg.
