Sylvia Akers, 89, Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday night, March 5, 2003
at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Akers and wife, Amy of Williamsburg; two
daughters, Lillie Lytle of Toledo, Ohio and Alice Lytle and husband, Richard
of Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren, Donna Mahan of McMinnville, Tennessee,
Larry Akers and wife, Lori of Charlotte, North Carolina, Freddie Akers and
wife, Tonya of Williamsburg, and Mike Akers and wife, Sheri of Knoxville,
Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two
brothers, Raymond Sexton and wife, Anita of Oneida, Tennessee and Raleigh
Sexton and wife, Nancy of Maumee, Ohio; three sisters, Frances Barnett of
Oneida, Tennessee, Mildred Trosper of Oneida, Tennessee and Orange Krause of
Oneida, Tennessee; as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Akers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8 at the Croley Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Glenn Daugherty officiating. Burial was in the Ryans
Cemetery.
