OBITS: BUHL, Geraldine - 6 Jan 2001 - Whitley Co, KY Date: Fri, 12 Jan 2001 18:01:09 -0500 From: "Bobbie Ivey-Lewallen" FROM THE NEWS-JOURNAL, 11 JAN 2001, PART 1 Geraldine Buhl, 69, South Second Street, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning, January 6, 2001 at her home. She was a member of the Green Street Church of God for over 40 years and a resident of Whitley County for most of her life. Mrs. Buhl, along with her husband Disel, were owners and operators of Buhl's Chevron Service Station in Williamsburg since 1954 and G & E Drive In Restaurant for more than 30 years. Survivors include her husband of over 52 years, Disel Buhl of Williamsburg; three daughters, Janice Manning and husband, Conley of Williamsburg, Pam Chinn and husband, Ronnie of Williamsburg, Phyllis Patton and husband, Ed of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Karen West and husband, Brent of Williamsburg, Wesley D. Chapman and wife, Julie of Williamsburg, Ann Anderson and husband, Chris of Williamsburg, Michelle Chapman of Williamsburg and Dustin Chinn of Williamsburg; four great-grandchildren, Kyle West, Auston Chapman, Madison Anderson, Isabelle Chapman, all of Williamsburg; three sisters, Arvella Dotson of Show Low, Arizona, Bernice Mahalak of Romulus, Michigan, Sheryl Tate of Indianapolis, Indiana; also several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tifford Goodin and Mary Elizabeith Meadors Goodin and a brother, Vernon Goodin. Funeral services were held Monday, January 8 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Caddell officiating. Burial as in the Davis Addition of Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg.
