She attended the Saxton Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ed Ball of Emlyn; three sons, John Ball and wife, Charlotte of Emlyn, Rev. Virgil Ball and wife, Bessie of Emlyn and Roger Ball of Sarasota, Florida; six daughters, Irene Beams and husband, David of Ashville, North Carolina, Helen Creekmore and husband, Paul of Croley Bend Road, Williamsburg, Mary Prewitt and husband, Ken of Felicity, Ohio, Martha Jarboe and husband, James of Sukie Hollow Road, Williamsburg, Ruby Minks and husband, Ed of Moon Beam Lane, Williamsburg, and Gail Sawyers and husband, Dallas of Hwy. 904, Williamsburg; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Clayton Marsee and wife, Jean of Williamsburg, Sillus Marsee and wife, Shirley of Independence, Don Marsee and wife, Sharon of Cookeville, Tennessee and Charlie Marsee and wife, Doris of Michigan; two sisters, Jessie Prewitt and husband, Ed Lewis of Williamsburg and Lucy Renner and husband, Phil of Mason, Ohio; also several nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Edward Ball; her parents, Emmitt and Martha Marsee; and three brothers, Clarence Marsee, Earl Marsee and Ellis Marsee. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 4 at the Mt. Ash Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Ball and Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Emlyn Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
