  Jess G. Brooks, 79, Redbird Road, Williamsburg, passed away Monday, January
1, 2001 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
  He accepted the Lord on March 18, 1956. He served the Lord for 45
years.
  Survivors include his wife, Lola Brooks of Williamsburg; four
daughters, Charlene Fuller and husband, Tom of Ridgecrest, California,
Pauline Riggins and husband, Richard of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Eudell
Sowder and husband, Charles of Jellico, Tennessee and Penny Stamper and
husband, Kenneth of Williamsburg; three sons, Jimmy Brooks and wife,
Elizabeth of Florence, Johnny Brooks and wife, Melissa of Springfield,
Missouri and Carl Jess Brooks and wife, Edna of Burlington; 21 grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Gibson of Oneida,
Tennessee.
  Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3 at the Ellison Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Parks and Rev. Harold Lawson officiating.
Burial was in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Redbird.
