Terry Rodney Byrd, 61, North 11th Street, Williamsburg, passed away Monday
morning, May 21, 2001 at his home. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Williamsburg, a graduate of Cumberland College, he taught school
in Liberty, Ohio for 17 years, and owned and operated his own heating and
plumbing business in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Byrd served in the United States 
National Guard Army and retiring as a Master Sergeant after 28 years of 
service.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Byrd of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, 
Eddie Byrd and wife, Kathy of Williamsburg and Teddy Byrd and wife, 
Cookie of Williamsburg; five nieces, Carolyn Byrd of Williamsburg,
Tracee Byrd of Williamsburg, Kelley Byrd of Williamsburg, Teresa Byrd 
Abbott and husband, Mike of Williamsburg and Carrie Byrd of McMinnville, 
Oregon; one great-nephew, Corey Byrd of Williamsburg; two great-nieces, 
Kristin Vaughn and Lillie Abbott, both of Williamsburg.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 23 at the Croley
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will 
follow in the Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denny Byrd, Alan 
Bowman, Jim Ed Miller, Mike Abbott, Rhinehart Heinkleman, and William 
Cox.

Military honors will be provided by U.S. Army, Fort Campbell, at the
graveside.
