James Otis Brummett, 74, Charlie Bunch Road, Williamsburg, passed away
Saturday night, November 4, 2000 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak
Ridge, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with 22 years of 
service. He was a member of the VFW and DAV. He is survived by one 
daughter, Gail Grimes of Williamsburg; one son, James Brummett of Paris, 
Kentucky; five grandchildren, Oliver Brummett, Eric Grimes, Jonah Brummett, 
Jeremy Brummett and Joshia Brummett; one great-grandchild, Victoria Grimes; 
five sisters, Francis Sawyers of Lexington, Indiana, Ella Bryant of 
Williamsburg, Hellen England of Greensbourgh, Polly Mayne of Williamsburg 
and Sue Dean Wilson of Gallion, Ohio; three brothers, Charles Brummett of 
Williamsburg, Les Brummett of Louisville and Clyde Brummett of Hamilton, 
Ohio; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends 
to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 8 
at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Bunch officiating. Burial 
followed in the Wofford Cemetery. Croley Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
