Walter Carr, 83, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2000 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin. He was a minister of the Church of God. Survivors include two sons, Roy Carr and wife, Sue of Emlyn, and David "Buck" Carr and wife, Sandra of Williamsburg; a daughter-in-law, Mary Barnhart of Cincinnati, Ohio; six daughters, Alice Huddleston of Williamsburg, Dorothy Jones of Williamsburg, Elsie Moses and husband, Robert of Williamsburg, Anna Wildermuth and husband, Hugh of Sidney, Ohio, Betty Carr of Williamsburg and Joyce "Polly" Carr of Williamsburg; 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Lambeth of Franklinville, North Carolina and Christine Warrick of Glendale, Arizona; one brother-in-law, Rev. Frank Vanover and wife, Ruby of Williamsburg; two sisters-in-law, Pline Williams of Williamsburg and Dessie Vanover of Williamsburg; as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emeline Vanover Carr; a son, Troy Carr; and granddaughter, Cassie Gray. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 17 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Lawson and Rev. Bryan West officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.
