OBITS: DICKEY, Doris Sullivan - 13 Jan 2001 - Whitley Co, KY Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2001 07:12:21 EST Submitted by: Neal Byrge From The Knoxville News Sentinel 15 Jan 2001 DICKEY, DORIS SULLIVAN of Knoxville, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2001, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on July 2, 1922, she was the daughter of Ivan Jackson and Eula Howard Sullivan. Mrs. Dickey graduated from high school and Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucy, and graduated from Sullins College in Bristol, Tenn. She was the city ticket agent for Southern Railroad in Knoxville. She was a member of Bearden United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was the wife of the late Judge David W. Dickey, Jr. Survivors include Mrs. Jeanette Rader of Knoxville; son, Dr. David W. Dickey III of Knoxville; daughter, Mrs. Lee Koffman of Augusta, Ga.; four granddaughters, Carolyn Lee Koffman, Kathryn Jill Koffman, Eleanor Lee Dickey and Amy Sullivan Dickey. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2001, at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jim Pollock officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, Suite 50, 600 Henley St., Knoxville, TN 37902.
