OBITS FROM THE NEWS-JOURNAL CORBIN NOV 2, 2000 PART 1
Freddia Gibson, 73, Woodbine, passed away Monday, October 23, 2000 at the
Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Gibson of Woodbine; ten children,
William Marcum of Williamsburg, Dilphia Jonnson of Thomasville, Georgia,
Wayne Gibson of Williamsburg, James Gibson of Williamsburg, Mary Kersey of
Williamsburg, Lewis Gibson of Williamsburg, Shirley Hughes of Jellico,
Tennessee, Fenly Gibson of Thomasville, Georgia, and Linda Williamson of
Thomasville, Georgia; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one
sister, Beddie Lovitt of Rockholds.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 26 at the Lower Briar
Creek Community Church of God with Rev. Junior Kersey officiating. Burial
was in the Marlow Cemetery.
Ellison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
