 Maurice E. "Moe" Hooper, 75, 17th Street, Corbin, passed away Sunday,
October 22, 2000 in the Corbin Nursing Home.
 He was born October 30, 1924 in Corbin to the late Richard Carroll and
Lillian Early Hooper. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force and was a
retired truck driver. He attended Good Hope Baptist Church, was Past Master
of Hugh Harris Lodge #938 F&AM, and was a founder of Tri-County Rescue
Squad.
 Survivors include his wife, Betty Hooper; three children and their
spouses, Brenda and Byron Jody of Williamsburg, Ohio, Linda and Elvis Farris
of Gray, and Ronnie and Leeta Hooper of Williamsburg; six grandchildren,
Nicholas and Derrick Jody, Travis Farris, Christopher Hooper, Jinna and
Austin Hooper; a great-grandchild, Brady Farris; one sister, Libby Hooper;
and one brother, Bill Hooper, both of Corbin.
 Funeral services were held Tuesday evening, October 24 at the O'Neil
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Smith and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton
officiating. Burial was held Wednesday, October 25 at the Pine Hill
Cemetery.
 Memorial contributions may be given to the Hugh Harris Lodge,
Tri-County Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
 O'Neil Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
