Mary Evelyn Heatherly, 85, Lily, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2000 in
the Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was born August 27, 1915 to the late 
Hugh Sturgill and Minnie Price Sturgill. She was a retired clerical worker for 
the Kentucky Cabinet for Human Resources and attended Lily Baptist Church.
Her husband, Joe C. Heatherly, passed away in 1980. Survivors include two 
cousins, Viola Dugger of Lily and Jan Wolf of Louisville; and a special friend, 
Wilma Proffitt of Lily, along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services 
were held Sunday, November 5 at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilmer 
Evans officiating. Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions 
may be given to the Youth Ministry of Lily Baptist Church. O'Neil Funeral Home 
in charge of arrangements.
