Jones, 68, Rocky Point School Road, Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday evening, April 26, 2000 at the Marymount Hospital, London. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Cupp Jones of Rocky Point School Road, Williamsburg; two sons, Garry D. Jones of Williamsburg and Glenis L. Jones and wife, Marilynn of Bealeton, Virginia; four grandchildren, Michael Jones and wife, Stephanie of Louisville, Tracy R. Jones of Williamsburg, Sabrina Jones of Bealeton, Virginia and Kyla D. Jones of Corbin; one great-grandchild expected in October 2000; seven sisters, Opal Reynolds of Creighton, Missouri, Delphine Mailo of Williamsburg, Edna Heinrich of Walworth, New York, Nancy Morris of Walworth, New York, Georgia Rude of Williamsburg, Darlene Watson of Sullivan, Missouri and Wanda Lawson of Dayton, Ohio; five brothers, James Jones of Grece, New York, Morris Jones of Hamlin, New York, Leroy Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ralph Jones of Williamsburg and William Jones of Oolitic, Indiana; as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Daryl was the son of the late Emerson Jones and Icie Mae Alsip Jones. He was also preceded in death by a son, Edwin Emerson Jones and a brother, Adam Troy Jones. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur McFarland and Rev. Janus Jones officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
