VIRGINIA AYERS KRAUS, 95, of Corbin, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2000 at the
Christian Health Center. She was the daughter of the late Tony and Mae
Wardrep Ayers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Barbourville.  On Sept. 1, 1934 she united in marriage with George
Washington Kraus who preceded her in death. Survivors include her son Donald 
A. Kraus and wife Brenda Sue of Corbin, one sister Eleanor McCreary of 
Cumberland, Md.; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. 
Graveside services were held in the Barbourville Cemetery on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. 
with Dr. Barry Howard officiating.
