NANCE BELL COOK MAY, 66, of Corbin, formerly of Hammond, passed away of
Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was the
daughter of the late Jeff Merida and the late Carrie (Gray) Merida. In 1947
she united in marriage with Cecil may who preceded her in death. Survivors 
include five daughters Gail Jordan and husband Leeman of Hammond, Debbie 
Sproles and husband Ronnie of London, Carolyn Swain and husband Joe of
Stearns, Vickie Miracle and husband Doug of London and Tammy Urcek and
husband Mitch of Redford, Mich.; five sons Kenneth may and wife Judy of
Elizabethtown, Larry May and wife Laura of Redford, Mich., Michael May and
wife Katie of Woolum, Douglas May and wife Tina of Redford, Mich. and Terry
May and wife Gena of Corbin; two sisters Sarah Jane Mills and husband Obie
of Gray and Fannie Hensley of Hammond; one brother Clint Merida and wife 
Axie of Hammond; 31 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral 
services were held at the Wings of Victory Church on Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. 
with the Rev. Leroy Warren and Dr. Wayne Kidd officiating. Burial followed 
in the Anderson-Smith Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of the 
arrangements.
