William E. (Bill) Murphy, 74, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at
Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. He was a retired Chemical Engineer 
for DuPont, a Navy veteran of World War II, and a native of Williamsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Cleta Burnett
Murphy; and two sisters, June Murphy and Genevieve Murphy Nankivell.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Suttles Murphy; a daughter, Jackie
M. Esterling; a granddaughter, Shea Esterling, all of Louisville; and one
brother, James H. Murphy of Corbin. Funeral services were held on Friday, 
October 20 at the Ratterman's Funeral Home with interment in Resthaven 
Memorial Park in Louisville.
