OBITS: OHLER, Harold - 5 Mar 2000 - Whitley Co, KY Date: Sat, 11 Mar 2000 00:42:41 -0500 Submitted by: Bobbie Ivey-Lewallen TNGirl@icx.net FROM THE NEWS-JOURNAL, CORBIN KY, 3/9/00 Harold Ohler, 72, Eatontown Road, Corbin, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2000 at his home. He was the son of the late Andrew and Thelma McHargue Ohler, and was born October 5, 1927 in Laurel County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was retired from Whayne Supply after 32-1/2 years. He belonged to the 19th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, June Poynter Ohler; a son, Charles Ohler and his wife, Mary Rose of Corbin; and a granddaughter, Kelly Ohler of Corbin. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7 at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Scott officiating. Burial was in the McHargue Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the 19th Street Church of Christ, and former and present employees of Whayne Supply. Memorial contributions may be given to Tri-County Hospice at London.
