Perkins, 69, Bridge Street, Franklin, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2000 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born November 30, 1930 in Williamsburg, the son of Frank and Lena Strunk Perkins. He was employed 22-1/2 years at N.C.R. as an Inspector and five years for Bird & Son, retiring in 1980. He served in the U.S. Army with the Military Police for two years. He was a member of Franklin VFW, the Springboro Eagles, AM VETS and Eastern Star Lodge #55 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, and six brothers, Carl, Arnold, James, Paul, Billy Ray, and Hubert "Dimple" Perkins. He is survived by his wife of 49-1/2 years, Dorothy "Tindall"; a son, James Perkins of Franklin; a daughter, Doris Carroll and husband, Jack of Franklin; a sister, Violet Hudson of Carlisle; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, November 27 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Springboro, Ohio with Rev. David Zornes officiating. Burial was in the Springboro Cemetery with Military Honors.
