Siler, 85, Croley Bend Road, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Rains Siler; sister, Lillian Veach, and Mae Stroud; his parents, Ben H. Siler and Rachel Rose Siler. He was a Christian man and a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and he was in these campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He is survived by one sister, Vivian Delph of Williamsburg; two brothers, Lee O. Siler and Herbert H. Siler of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 25 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Phillip Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the Whitley Memorial Gardens. Ellison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
