Gracie Sawyers, 89, Williamsburg, passed away Monday afternoon, December 18, 
2000 at the Williamsburg Nursing Home. She was a member of the Maple Creek 
Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Erie Loue Hill of Maple 
Creek Community, Williamsburg, Clearencie Odell and husband, Junior of
Williamsburg and Imodean Sammons and husband, Jennings of Williamsburg; two
sons, Eugene Sawyers and wife, Joyce of Maple Creek Community, Williamsburg
and Andy Sawyers and wife, Wanda of Deep Branch Road, Williamsburg; 12
grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one
brother, Hancil Sawyers of Maple Creek Community, Williamsburg; also several
nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn
her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Sawyers and her parents, Albert 
Sawyers and Rebecca Hill Sawyers.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 21 at the Croley Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. James Loudermilk and Rev. Robert Perkins officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Creek Cemetery. Croley Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
