Hollon and Sarah Hollon his wife of the first part and John M. Cockerham of the Second part: Witness that the Said party of the first part in consideration of Two Hundred and forty Dollars to the parties of the first part in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged doth hereby sell grant and convey to the party of the Second part his heirs and assigns the following described property viz a tract of Land lying on upp. Devils creek and bounded as follows viz: Beginning on a Birch tree George Fortners [lone? cove?] corner thence up the creek to the first right hand drain above the George Fortner branch thence running South up Said drain to J.M. Cockerhams line thence with Said line to the head of the first right hand drain on the meaddow branch thence down Said drain to the Meaddow Branch thence Down Said meaddow branch to a Birch tree on the East Side marked with Six hacks thence Northwest to the top of the [ridge?] to a Large chestnut thence North with the ridge to a Knob thence westwardly with the ridge So as to include all of the waters of the Buck Nickill branch to the top of the point below Said branch thence a Strait line by a forked oak to the beginning a Birch To have and to hold the Same with all the appurtenances thereon to the Second party his heirs and assigns for ever with covenant of General warranty In testamony whereof witness and Signature the day and year first above written A.J.
