After George Washington Carson's father, John Carson, died, his mother, Axie 
Armstrong Carson, married John Lacy.  John Lacy was George's step-father. 
George was a small child when his mother married John Lacy.  John Lacy married 
Axie A. Carson about 1834 after his first wife, Sarah Porter Lacy, died in 
1833.  John and Sarah Porter Lacy, Axie Armstrong Carson Lacy and George 
Washington Carson are all buried at Carson Cemetery, Wolfe County, Kentucky.
