98th BIRTHDAY

Mrs. Sallie Bailey, Versailles' oldest citizen, greeted many friends
Sunday when she celebrated her 98th birthday at her home on Morgan street.
Despite many physical handicaps, Mrs. Bailey remains active mentally. Mrs.
Bailey is a Woodford county native and is a daughter of the late Col. Lewis
A. Berry.  Her husband, Joseph C. Bailey, was a Confederate soldier and
Mrs. Bailey has remained a loyal Confederate sympathizer.
