Belmont D. Brown, Woodford County, Ky. Belmont D. Brown, 64, of this county, died Saturday at the Woodford Memorial hospital. He underwent a major operation ten days ago. Mr. Brown was born in Franklin County, Ky., January 26, 1870, and was a son of the late Martin and Margaret Hampton Brown. Most of his life was spent in Woodford. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Brown; two daughters, Miss Maudie May Brown and Mrs. J.D. (Anetta) Graviett; three sons, Daniel, Clarence and Jess M. Brown, all of Woodford County. A brother, Mason Brown, Oregon, also survives, with the follow half-brothers: Ike and Lee Brown, Woodford county; James Brown, Kokomo, Ind., and Mark Brown, Harrodsburg, and a half-sister, Miss Eva Brown, Harrodsburg. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Versailles Christian church, and burial followed in the Versailles cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. W. J. Shelburne, pastor of the church.
