Kentucky Will Book B Page 254 At a court held for the county of Woodford on the 4th day of November 1805. In the name of God, Amen, I, Rosanna Mitchell being sickly and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make, and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is: I give my body to the earth and soul to God who gave it and after my debts and funeral expenses are paid, I do devise of my worldly goods as follows. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Frederick Mitchell all the tract of land whereon I now live, it being one half of the four 76 unit rec acre Survey with all the appurtenances also all my farming utensils, also fifty acres of land that I bought of John Baker, it being a part of John H. Craig’s five hundred acre survey and adjoining the aforesaid tract, also a piece of land where my meadow now is supposed to contain acres, also all my household furniture and all my stock of Horses, Cattle, Sheep, and Hogs—and also a Negro boy named Nelson to him and his heirs forever. Item. I give and bequeath to my son John Mitchell a bond on John Edwards for twenty pounds, also a bond on James Bartlett for thirteen pounds and also what he himself owes me to him and his heirs forever. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Michael Mitchell fourty pounds out of bond due from James Theabatos to him and his heirs forever. Lastly, I further give and bequeath to my son Frederick Mitchell all the balance of my estate of every description to him and his heirs forever. Finally I do herby appoint John Brown and William Whittington Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness and testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of December 1799. Rosanna (X) Mitchell (Mark) Signed sealed and acknowledged in presence of Wm. Ellis Littleton Whittington James Stout Woodford County Sct November County Court 1805 This last will and testament of Rosanna Mitchell deceased was presented in court and proven by the oaths of the subscribing witnesses is thereto and ordered to be recorded and on motion of John Brown and William Whittington Executor therein named who under an Executor and acknowledged bond as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate threof in due form.
