He was first located in New Orleans, where he remained until 1873, when he removed to his present place of residence. Mr. Flash received a good business education in the schools of his native land. His father and mother were both natives of Germany, and removed to America, where they spent the latter days of their life. Since his location at this place Mr. Flash has been engaged in farming and stock raising, in which he has prospered, and is now one of the leading farmers and stockmen in this section of Acadia parish. He has twice married, first in 1864, and again in 1875. In religion Mr. Flash is a Catholic, and in politics, though not partisan, he is a Democrat.
