Duson Uriah Taylor (his mark) Witnesses: (Signed) Leon V. Fremeaux B.M. Lambert R.T. Clark, Clerk of Court February 28, 1888 ***************** Note: Uriah Taylor was my gg grandfather. This land was located in what my PawPaw called the Piney Woods, near Roberts Cove. Uriah made his home there for years. The abandoned Murphy-Taylor Cemetery is presently on that site - near a large oak tree. He and some of his children are buried there, as well as some unmarked graves. Sadly, many of the graves have been plowed under over the years. My grandfather states in his 1984 notes that "most of the old Taylor folks are buried also in the Roberts Cove Cemetery on the Leo Habetz farm except my grandmother (Ada Frances Welch Taylor and her son Lewis Clinton Taylor are buried in the Maxie Methodist Cemetery near The McClelland Family)."
