Dear Comrade, 
             
               I am enclosing notice and proof of the death of Comrade Richard P. Stakes who was a pensioner but whose number I have not got. The widow is making application to succeed her husband.

Please give the matter your attention and see that she gets placed on the pension roll for the next drawing as she is needy.

Inform her what disportion is made on her application, and what further evidence you need, if any. Her address hereafter will be Mrs. R. P. Stakes, care of Albert Stakes, Rayne, La.
